The Lake Havasu City Yacht Club (LHYC) proudly sailed into the spotlight during the 2025 London Bridge Days Parade with their unforgettable float themed “Gilligan’s Island” — and brought home First Place in the Non-Commercial Float Category!
Decorated to resemble the iconic S.S. Minnow, LHYC members dressed the part, recreating the beloved cast of Gilligan, the Skipper, the Professor, Ginger, Mary Ann, and the rest of the crew. Their creativity, attention to detail, and team spirit made a lasting impression on the crowd and parade judges alike.
This award-winning float was brought to life entirely by club volunteers, showcasing the heart and dedication of LHYC’s membership. The fun-filled effort not only honored a pop culture classic but also celebrated community engagement, boating culture, and a touch of nautical nostalgia.

Below is a list of just some of the incredible organizations we’ve contributed to over the years:
Supporting local amateur radio groups who provide vital emergency communication services, especially during natural disasters or community-wide events. These volunteers are often the first line of communication when traditional networks go down.
